The 60th Copa del Café Main Draw will be played in 2025 from 13 to 18 January. This ITF calendar slot is one week earlier than in 2024, and synchronizes scheduling with other junior tournaments so players can participate in Costa Rica and then go directly to the South American circuit starting in Colombia the week after.
This 60th running of the Copa will feature important changes at our venue, the Costa Rica Country Club. For the first time tournament play during the day will be all indoors, to be played in our brand new state of the art covered courts. We will inaugurate 4 new courts that together with our 4 existing covered courts will showcase 8 beautiful indoor hard courts. However, night play will continue to be played under the lights in our outdoor Stadium Court with seating capacity for about 2000 spectators.
The Copa del Cafè recently has received a Tournament Recognition Longevity Award from the ITF in recognition of our many years of successfully running the Copa del Cafè. The award celebrates over 25 years of hosting our tournament, which at 60 years is almost double the next longest running junior ITF tournament in Latin America. Player registration has already commenced and we anticipate a star studded final listing for both Boys and Girls come January of 2025. We look forward to welcoming players, coaches, parents and friends at that time.
