The Qualies are now over, with 4 boys and 4 girls ascending into the respective Main Draws in accordance with pairings determined by chance and the ITF algorithm. First round matches for boys and girls will be played primarily on Monday with 12 of 16 in the boys draw and 11 of 16 on the girls side. The remaining first round matches will be played Tuesday morning with first round doubles action commencing on Tuesday afternoon.
Several first round pairings look to be awesome, considering that seeded players will never face off in first round pairings. A matchup to watch on the boys side will be no. 1 seed Dante PAGANI of Argentina ranked 55 in the world squaring off against American Ryan COZAD ranked 104. This match will take place on Tuesday. Other top pairings are Lachlan GASKELL of USA ranked 81 against Francisco Castro of Ecuador ranked 107, which is scheduled for the fourth match on court 8, not before 2:30pm. The popular Yubel UBRI of USA, returning from 2024 and ranked 119, will square off against Fumin JIANG of China (no. 74 in the world) in another top pairing.
The girls draw suggests an easier time for seeded players than on the boys side. Matches to watch are no. 1 seed Kaitlyn ROLLS of USA ranked a sparkling 17th in the world meeting Kori MONTOYA, also of USA and ranked 149. This match will take place on Tuesday. Other pairings of interest are: 15 year old Julieta PAREJA of USA but of Colombian origins ranked 75 and seeded 5 facing Alyssa JAMES of Jamaica, ranked 143; and 8th seed Pietra RIVOLI of Brazil ranked 106 lining up against Kayla CHUNG of USA ranked 118. These 2 matches will be played during the morning, not before 10am.
